Assistant Professor of Finance (f/m/d) - Tenure Track
in the Finance & Accounting Group of WHU.

Starting: March 1, 2025 or later
Locations: WHU Campus Vallendar
Previous degree: Ph.D. or an equivalent academic qualification

WHU has around 60 faculty members in the fields of management, accounting and finance, economics, entrepreneurship and innovation, marketing and sales, and supply chain management. Research at WHU adheres to three research principles: quality, internationality, as well as practical and academic relevance. WHU faculty consistently publish their research in the most prestigious journals.

The position is based in the Finance & Accounting Group and will be associated with the newly established Center of Excellence for Entrepreneurial Families.

Job Description

Performing research in the fields of household finance, investments and/or sustainable finance and publishing in leading research journals
Contributing to research activities of the newly established Center of Excellence for Entrepreneurial Families, which focuses on the fields of research mentioned above
Conducting teaching across the various WHU degree programs (in English)
Mentoring theses (Bachelor, Master, MBA)
Performing services to the academic community

Job Qualifications

Ph.D. or equivalent academic qualification in finance or a closely related discipline
Outstanding research record as evidenced by publications in leading academic journals, presentations at excellent conferences, and/or a promising research pipeline
Teaching experience (especially in English)
Outstanding English communication skills
International experience is advantageous
